Cut by machine process. Folded and finished by hand.

It's all curves in the upper half and squares in the lower half!
The perfect gift for the obsessive geometry teacher in your life.
Folding this card correctly is actually harder than it might seem. To arrive at the final design, the two struts have to twist around one another in a rather complicated way that is hard to describe. I find it remarkably easy to get the two sections hopelessy tangled and knotted together, so I end up throwing the card away and starting again. There are times when the bin next to my desk looks like a poster for a 'Card Carnage' movie.
This is a very satisfying design to actually hold in your hands and study. It's one of the ones that gets more fascinating the more you look at it.
This design is a very good visual metaphor for the difference between thinking in straight, rigid lines and thinking in a more curved, flexible way. Straight thinking can become curved thinking!
